Chapter 7: Administration of Excel Services
The following code shows the supported command-line arguments for working with trusted DCLs:
stsadm -o add-ecstrusteddataconnectionlibrary
-Ssp <SSP name>
-Location <URL>
[-Description <descriptive text>]
stsadm -o remove-ecstrusteddataconnectionlibrary
-Ssp <SSP name>
-Location <URL>
For a detailed description of the supported trusted DCL properties on the SSP’s Trusted Data Connection
Libraries administration page, see the “Trusted Data Connection Library Properties” section earlier in
this chapter.
Trusted Data Providers
Excel Services does not query an external data source unless the data provider for the query is
considered a trusted data provider. Trusted data providers have a scope that is limited to the SSP under which
they are created. The following table describes the trusted data providers that Excel Services provides by
default.
