Number of Log Files — This setting determines how many log files are retained in the trace log
directory. You can enter any value between 1 and 1024. The default setting is 96.
Number of Minutes To Use A Log File — This setting determines when a new log file is created.
You can enter any value between 1 and 1440. The default setting is 30.
The Event Throttling section of the metrics page contains the settings that control the severity of events
logged to both the event log and the trace log. This is determined by associating a logging level with
each of the categories. There are more than 250 categories to choose from for all of MOSS. The following
are the eight Excel Services categories.
