Excel 2007 Client
Now that you have met both the hardware and software requirements for installing MOSS, you can
launch Setup and install your evaluation server. Every page of the Setup wizard is not shown here
because many of them are simply status pages.
A page may appear briefly to let you know that the necessary files are being processed, and then the
Product Key page appears (see Figure 2-1). Enter your 25-character product key. When the key is
recognized as valid, the Continue button is enabled. Click it to proceed with the setup.
When the Microsoft Software License Terms page appears (see Figure 2-2), click the check box to agree to
the terms. Then click the Continue button to proceed.
On the next page that appears, you specify a Basic or Advanced installation (see Figure 2-3). If you select
Basic, the setup will proceed with no further actions from you. If you select Advanced, you can change
the default settings during setup.
If you click the Advanced button, the Server Type page is displayed next (see Figure 2-4). The
Standalone option will install the evaluation server and, if you make no changes on any of the tabs, the
installation will be the same as if you had selected Basic (no further action from you is required).
