To Enter More Text in Content Controls
The next step is to select content controls in the Experience section of the resume
and replace their instructions with personalized information.
1 In the Experience section of the resume, click the content control with the instruction,
Type the job title.
2 Type Chef Intern and then bold the text, Chef Intern.
3 Click the content control with the instruction, Type the start date.
4 Type September 2006 and then click the content control with the instruction, Type the
5 Type May 2008 and then click the content control with the instruction, Type the company name.
6 Type The Garden Grill and then click the content control with the instruction, Type the
7 Type Juniper, NV as the company address.
To Indent a Paragraph
In the resume, the lines below the job title that contain the company name and job responsibilities are to be
indented, so that the job titles are easier to see. The following step indents the left edge of a paragraph.
• Display the Home tab.
• With the insertion point in
the paragraph to indent, click
the Increase Indent button
on the Home tab to indent the
paragraph one-half inch
Left Indent marker
on ruler indented
½”, placing it on
the 1” mark
• Repeatedly click the Increase Indent
and Decrease Indent buttons on the
Home tab and watch the left indent
of the current paragraph change.
When you have ﬁ nished
experimenting, use the Increase Indent
and Decrease Indent buttons to set
the left margin to the one-inch mark on the ruler.
Why did the paragraph indent one-half inch?
Each time you click the Increase Indent button, the current paragraph indents one-half inch.
Similarly, when you click the Decrease Indent button, the paragraph decreases the indent by
