To Open a Link in a New Tab
You can view multiple Web pages in a single window using tabbed pages. A tabbed page consists of a tab in the
Internet Explorer window and the associated Web page. When you start Internet Explorer only one tab is displayed,
but you can open as many tabbed pages as you want. The following steps use the Instant Search box and the Course
Technology – Shelly Cashman Series link to open a Web page on a new tabbed page.

Click the Instant Search box and
type Shelly Cashman Series in
the Instant Search box (Figure 1–37).
What is an Instant Search box?
It is a text box in which you can type
a term which then can be searched for
by a search engine. Internet Explorer
provides an Instant Search box in the
upper-right corner of the window.
