4. Use the Split Form tool to create a split form based on the tblDonor table, and then
make the following changes to the form in Layout view.
a. Reduce the widths of all five text boxes to a reasonable size.
b. Remove the FirstName, LastName, and Phone controls from the stacked layout,
move them to the top right, and then anchor them to the top right.
c. Change the title to Donor , and then save the modifiied form as frmDonorSplitForm .
5. Use Figure 6-56 and the following steps to create a custom form named
frmDonorDonations based on the tblDonor and tblDonation tables.

a. Add the title in the Form Header section.
b. Make sure the form’s Record Source property is set to tblDonor, and then add a
combo box in the Form Header section to find DonorID field values. In the wizard
steps, select the DonorID field. Format the label using a bold, Red font (row 7,
column 2 in the Standard Colors palette) and the Chiseled special effect.
c. Add a subform based on the tblDonation table, name the subform
frmDonorDonationSubform , delete the subform label, and resize the columns in
the subform to their best fit and resize and position the subform.
d. Add a calculated control that displays the total of the DonationValue field
displayed in the subform with the Currency format. Set the calculated control’s
Tab Stop property to No, and the Border Style property to Transparent.
e. Add a line in the Form Header section, and add a rectangle around the calculated
control and its label, setting the line thickness of both controls to the line style
with the ScreenTip 3 pt.
f. Use the background color Aqua Blue 2 (row 3, column 9 in the Standard Colors
palette) for the sections, the calculated control, and the Select Donor combo box.
g. Make sure the tab order is top-to-bottom for the main form text boxes.
