Delete a Slide in Slide Sorter View
As you build your presentation, you may decide that you do not need particular material. For
example, you may need to delete slides if a presentation is outdated or if you decide not to use a
slide that you designed. In some cases, you might use a copy of a particular presentation as a template
for a presentation that you are designing and you only need certain slides, so you need to delete some
of them. When you decide to remove a slide, PowerPoint makes it quick and easy to do so.
Delete a Slide in Slide Sorter View
1 Select the slide(s) you want
to delete in Slide Sorter view.
Note: To select multiple slides,
click the first slide, and then
press while clicking
additional slides.
2 Right-click any selected slide.
The shortcut menu appears.
3 Click Delete Slide .
PowerPoint deletes the
selected slide(s) from the
presentation.
Note: PowerPoint does not
prompt you to confirm the
deletion. If you want to get the
slide back, click the Undo icon
( ) on the Quick Access Toolbar.
Note: You can also delete a slide
by selecting it and then pressing
.
