Details such as the position of the various objects on a slide are very important to the professional
appearance of a presentation. When you insert an object, such as a picture, text box, placeholder,
or shape, it usually does not appear in the location where you want it. When you insert a slide, you
may prefer to position the text and content placeholders in a different location than the standard
layout. You can reposition objects on a slide so that you can strategically place them. You move an
object by clicking and dragging it.
1 Click an object to select it.
2 Position the mouse pointer
( ) over the border of the
object ( changes to ).
3 Click and drag the object to
a new position.
When you release the mouse
button, the object appears in
its new position.
4 Click anywhere outside the
shape when finished.
