Insert a Hyperlink
A hyperlink can perform a variety of actions when you click it during a PowerPoint slide show.
It gives you an easy way to go to a different slide in your slide show. You can have a hyperlink
open another PowerPoint presentation or open a document from another Office application.
A hyperlink also provides you a way to open and create an e-mail message and gives you the
convenience of opening a Web page from your slide show. Using hyperlinks to execute these actions
during a slide show enables you to run a smooth presentation and impress your audience.
Insert a Hyperlink
Go to a Slide in the Current
Presentation
1 Click inside a placeholder where
you want to insert the hyperlink.
2 Click the Insert tab.
3 Click Hyperlink .
The Insert Hyperlink
dialog box appears.
4 Click the Text to
display text box.
5 Type a name for your
hyperlink.
6 Click Place in This
Document .
7 Click a slide.
8 Click OK.
PowerPoint inserts the
link to the slide.
