Apply an Animation
Add some excitement and creativity to your presentation by designing it with some animation!
You can have your bullet points fly onto the slide point by point to keep your audience focused
on one point at a time. You may decide to have SmartArt appear one piece at a time, or have a
picture zoom into the slide and then do a turn! You can use the Animations tab on the ribbon to
apply an animation to any slide object.

Apply to Clip Art or a Picture
1 Select an object to animate.
You can apply the same
animation to multiple objects
by selecting them all at the
same time.
Note: See Chapter 10 to learn how
to select objects.
2 Click the Animations tab.
3 Click the down arrow (
) in
the Animations group.
The gallery of animations
appears.
4 Click an animation.
A PowerPoint applies the
animation to the object and
assigns it a sequence number.
B PowerPoint places an animation
icon ( ) next to the slide
thumbnail.
Note: You can apply multiple
animations to one object.
