Special: Outlook Security
Outlook Security provides protection against malicious scripts and asks the
user for confirmation to allow scripts to run. This can cause an automated
solution to be more trouble than it’s worth.
One possible solution is to use a third-party COM object called Redemption.
See http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/ for more information and a free
installation package. To enable automated solutions to run properly, simply set
the Mail Item object as the Safe Mail Item object using this COM object. Using
this new object to execute actions and access its properties avoids the script
confirmation problem.
In the following sections, we provide code entries modified to use the
Redemption object.
