Important!
IF is an array function. It compares every number
in a series to a condition and keeps track of the
numbers meeting the condition. To create an
array function, press Ctrl+Shift+Enter instead of
pressing Enter or clicking OK to complete your
function. You must surround arrays with curly
braces ({ }). The braces are entered automatically
when you press Ctrl+Shift+Enter but not
when you press Enter or click OK when using
the Function Arguments dialog box.
Did You Know?
IF has an optional third argument. Use the third
argument if you want to specify what happens
when the condition is not met. For example, you
can use IF to test whether any sales values
exceed 9,000, and then display True if such
values exist and False if they do not.
