Entering Outline view
An outline in Word is just like any other document. The only difference is in how Word displays the
text. To enter Outline view, click the Outline button found on the View tab, in the Views group.
Word’s window changes, growing an Outlining tab and changing to Outline view, as shown in Fig-
ure 25-1 .

Outlining details are covered in the next few sections. In the meantime, I offer some general tidbits:
To leave Outline view, you can choose another document view, such as Print Layout, or simply
click the big, honkin’ Close Outline View button on the Ribbon’s Outlining tab.
