Every ribbon tab, with the exception of the File tab, can be
hidden without removing it from the ribbon’s underlying
structure. To hide a ribbon tab, open the Excel Options dialog box
and display the Customize Ribbon page. On the right side of
this page is a list of all tabs that currently appear on the ribbon.
Each tab has a check box to the left of its name. Selecting a
tab’s check box displays the tab on the ribbon, while clearing
the check box hides it.

1 Right-click any ribbon tab.
2 Click Customize The Ribbon.
3 Clear the check box next to the tab that you want to hide.
4 Click OK.
