Adding an equation to a shape
Add a custom equation
1 Click the shape to which you want to add the equation.
2 Click the Insert tab.
3 Click Symbols.
4 Click the Equation button.
5 If necessary, click the Design tab.
6 Click the type of equation structure that you want to create.
7 Click the specific structure to use for your equation.
8 Type the equation elements into the structure’s boxes.

TIP By clicking the symbol or operator in the Symbols gallery,
you can add symbols such as the infinity sign or arithmetic
operators such as plus, minus, multiply, and divide.
