Copying web data to Excel
Many web pages are created in a way that lets you copy data
to your clipboard and then paste it into an Excel workbook or
other file. In many cases, you can highlight the data you want
using the mouse pointer and then copy and paste the data as
you would any other file contents.
Copy data from the web to Excel
1 In your web browser, type the URL that you want to visit.
2 Select the data that you want to copy into Excel.
3 Press Ctrl+C to copy the data to the Clipboard.
4 In Excel, click the cell where you want to paste the data.
5 Click the Home tab.
6 Click Paste.

TIP When you are ready to paste data from the web into
Excel, you can click the Paste button’s down arrow to display a
list of options. The last option is Create Refreshable Web Query, which
displays the New Web Query dialog box.
