Click the Security page tab. On this page, you can choose to help secure your locally
stored account data by requiring logon credentials each time you start Outlook.
If other people have access to your computer, you can add an additional layer of security
by instructing Outlook to access this account only if you enter the account credentials.

Click the Connection page tab. On this page, you can specify whether you want
Outlook to connect to the Exchange server through your local area network or over
the Internet.
Selecting this option causes Outlook to connect to the server over the Internet.
TIP If you are accustomed to using a previous version of Outlook, you might wonder
where the network connection settings that were previously available from this page
have gone. Outlook now uses the Windows network connection settings; you don’t
need to enter any additional information in the program configuration.
