Click any blue information icon in the right pane to display information about the option.
The settings on the General page apply to all Outlook modules. These settings include
showing the Mini Toolbar when you select text, enabling live previews of gallery options,
and setting the ScreenTip style. In addition, you can specify your user information (name
and initials) and preferred background and theme for all Office programs on this page.
TIP You can’t set individual user information, backgrounds, or themes for individual Office
programs running under the same user profile.
Configuring Mail module options
Many of the settings that users commonly modify are available on the Mail page of the
Outlook Options dialog box. These include settings for composing original messages and
responses; receiving and reading messages; cleaning up conversations; saving, sending, and
tracking messages; and default message format options.
Outlook includes a selection of options so that you can manage your email most effectively.
To avoid losing your work, you can choose to have Outlook save messages you have created
