Managing add-ins
Add-ins are utilities that add specialized functionality to a program (but aren’t full-fledged
programs themselves). Outlook uses COM add-ins, which use the Component Object
Model. You can view and manage installed add-ins from the Add-Ins page of the Outlook
Options dialog box.
Your Add-Ins page might contain add-ins other than those shown here.
Outlook 2013 installs several add-ins based on the type of interaction you have with the
program. Others might be installed by Office or other programs that you work with. In
addition to the add-ins that are automatically installed by programs, you might download
free add-ins from the Microsoft website or other websites, or purchase add-ins from
thirdparty vendors.
