Working with the Category List
Outlook comes with a small set of defined categories. Each is named after its color — blue category,
orange category, and so on. These names aren’t too useful, so you’ll want to rename them. You can
also create new categories if the existing ones are not enough.
To work with the category list, click the Categorize button on Outlook’s toolbar, as shown in
Figure 17.2, and select All Categories from the menu. Outlook displays the Color Categories
dialog box as shown in Figure 17.3. All defined categories are listed here. In the figure, you can
see that two of the color categories have already been renamed. You can take various actions with
categories in this dialog box, as described next.
