In Outlook, an email message is represented by the MailItem object. Once you have a reference
to a folder containing email items, you can loop through the folder’s Items collection to access
each email in turn. You can also create macros that compose and send email messages.
Working with Received Messages
Many of the things you’ll do with email messages that you have received involve message
properties that provide information about the subject, recipients, sender, and other aspects of the
message. The MailItem properties used most often when working with received messages are
described in Table 24.3.
