Within a Cell
You can add visual interest to your text by slanting
the text upward or downward in the cell. You can
also use this technique to make a long column
heading take up less horizontal space on the
worksheet.
You can choose a predefined rotation, or you can
make cell text angle upward or downward by
specifying the degrees of rotation.
Rotate Text Within a Cell
1 Select the range containing the
text you want to angle.
2 Click the Home tab.
3 Click Orientation ( ).
A If you want to use a predefined
orientation, click one of the
menu items and skip the rest of
the steps.
4 Click Format Cell Alignment .
The Format Cells dialog box
appears with the Alignment
tab displayed.
5 Click an orientation marker.
B You can also use the Degrees
spin box to type or click a
degree of rotation. (See the
tip at the end of this section.)
