Convert a Range
to a Table
In Excel 2013, you cannot create a table from scratch
and then fill that table with data. Instead, you must
first create a range that includes at least some of the
data you want in your table and then convert that
range to a table.
Note that you do not need to enter all of your data
before converting the range to a table. Once you
have the table, you can add new rows and columns
as needed, as described later in this chapter.
However, it is best to decide up front whether you
want your table to have column headers.
Convert a Range to a Table
1 Click a cell within the range
that you want to convert to
a table.
2 Click the Insert tab.
3 Click Table ( ).
