Source Data
In Excel, a chart’s source data is the original range
used to create the chart. You can keep your chart up
to date and accurate by adjusting the chart when its
source data changes.
You normally do this when the structure of the
source data changes. For example, if the source
range adds a row or column, you can adjust the chart
to include the new data. However, you do not need
to make any adjustments if just the data within the
original range changes. In such cases, Excel
automatically adjusts the chart to display the new
data.
Change the Chart Source Data
1 Click the chart to select it.
