You can also hide a column

Excel removes the column from
the worksheet display.

Excel displays a slightly thicker
heading border between the
surrounding columns to indicate
that a hidden column lies
between them.
Another way to hide a column is
to move the mouse over the
right edge of the column
heading ( changes to ),
and then click and drag the edge
left until the width displays 0.
How do I display a hidden row or column?
To display a hidden row, select the row above and the row below the hidden row, click
Home

click
Format
, click
Hide & Unhide
, and then click
Unhide Rows
. To unhide row 1, right-click
the top edge of the row 2 header, and then click
Unhide
.
To display a hidden column, select the column to the left and the column to the right of the
hidden column, click
Home

Format

Hide & Unhide
, and then click
Unhide
Columns
. To unhide column A, right-click the left edge of the column B header, and then click
Unhide
