In Depth Information
Storyboards are usually very sketchy (low fidelity) in the beginning and may remain
that way, depending on your prototyping objectives. The fidelity of digital
storyboards can evolve over time, with screen shots from higher-fidelity interactive
prototypes substituted for earlier sketches. One way to determine an appropriate
content focus along with the appropriate fidelity is to consult the Storyboard
Content and Fidelity Matrix shown in Table 5.1. The content components of a given
storyboard can vary in fidelity depending on your objectives for the storyboard, such
as portraying rough design and experience concepts on one end of the continuum to
presenting innovative concepts in a more refined way to investors at the other end
of the continuum. Modulating the content fidelity of a storyboard allows you to
place appropriate emphasis on one or more of those aspects.
