2. Make sure New Worksheet is checked under
Choose where you want the PivotTable report to
be placed.
Click OK. The screen shown in Figure E-14 appears. If it does not, right-click in a
cell in the pivot table area. Select PivotTable Options from the menu. Click the Display tab
and then check the Classic PivotTable layout.

The data range
s column headings are shown in the PivotTable Field List on the right side of the
screen. From there, you can click and drag column headings into the Row, Column, and Value
areas that appear in the spreadsheet.

If you want to see the total sales by product for each salesperson, drag the Name field to the Drop
Column Fields Here area in the spreadsheet. You should see the result shown in Figure E-15.
