ASSIGNMENT 2: CREATING THE DATABASE, QUERIES, AND REPORTS
Create a query called December Hours that summarizes the shifts worked by guards during December.
Display headings for the Employee Last Name, Employee First Name, Date, and Number of Hours
(a calculated field). Your data will differ, but your output should resemble that in Figure 5-11. Note that
only a portion of the output is showing in the figure.
December Hours query
Create a delete query called Delete Withdrawal. This query deletes a record from the Withdrawals table after
prompting the user to enter a customer ID and date. Test your query by running it for a record and then
looking at the Withdrawals table to make sure the record was deleted.
Create a report called November Hours that is based on the November Hours query, but only displays
headings for the Employee Last Name, Employee First Name, Date, and Number of Hours. Group the report on
Employee Last Name. Adjust the output so that the Employee First Name is on the same line as the Employee
Last Name. Sum the Number of Hours for each guard. Your data will differ, but your output should resemble
that in Figure 5-12. Include November Hours as the title of the report. All data and headings should be visible,
although only a portion of the report is showing in Figure 5-12.
