Protecting workbooks and worksheets
In this exercise, you’ll password-protect a workbook, a worksheet, and a range of cells. You
will also hide the formula in a cell.
SET UP You need the SecureInfo workbook located in the Chapter14 practice file
folder to complete this exercise. Open the workbook, and then follow the steps.

Display the Backstage view, and then, if necessary, click Info to display the Info page.

Click the Protect Workbook button, and then click Encrypt with Password to open
the Encrypt Document dialog box.

Enter work14pro in the Password box.

Click OK . When you do, the Confirm Password dialog box opens.

In the Reenter password box, enter work14pro .

Click OK to close the Confirm Password dialog box.

Click the Go Back button in the upper-left corner of the Backstage view.

Click the Review tab and, if necessary, click the Performance sheet tab to display the
Performance worksheet.

Right-click cell B8 , and then click Format Cells to open the Format Cells dialog box.
