=NUMBERVALUE(text, [decimal_separator],[group_separator])
Converts text to a number, independent of locale. This function takes the fol-
lowing arguments:
text The text to convert to a number.
decimal_separator The character used to separate the integer and
fractional part of the result.
group_separator The character used to separate groupings of num-
bers, such as thousands from hundreds.
Empty spaces in the textargument are ignored, even in the middle of the text.
For example 2 000 is returned as 2000. If the text ends in one or more per-
cent signs, they are used and are treated as additive. 9%% returns 0.0009.
Figure 11.66 illustrates the NUMBERVALUE function.
