INDEX(reference,row_num,column_num,area_num)
If you need to determine the location and shape of each contiguous range, do so
one area at a time. A second syntax for the INDEX function returns a refer-
ence to one specific area of a reference. This syntax includes the following
arguments:
reference
reference Reference to one or more cell ranges. If you are entering a
nonadjacent range for the reference, enclose referencein parentheses.
If each area in referencecontains only one row or column, the
row_numor column_numargument, respectively, is optional. For ex-
ample, for a single row reference, you use INDEX(referen-
ce,column_num).
