However, on each list or library page, there is a new function for the title area breadcrumb. Now
the breadcrumb is appended conveniently after the name of the page, with the title of the view
being used to display the list’s data.
As you can see, for this view there are two fields displayed in the list. Just as in Excel, column
headings can be clicked to sort or filter the column. This list also has an Expires field, but it is
not displayed because the purpose of this view is to display the date the announcement was
posted (or modified) and the title of the announcement in a web part on the home page.

different views to organize and display data to better effect than just showing all fields organized
This means that knowing what view you are in when looking at a list can be helpful. It’s also
useful to know that you can click the view name displayed in the breadcrumb for a drop-down list
of any other views for the page. (You can see in Figure 4.24 that I’ve made no other views for the list;
only All Items is available to use.) That drop-down also can contain options to modify the existing
view (which takes you to a page to modify the view) or create a new view (which takes you to a
page where you can choose from some nice view templates or make a copy of an existing view).
