6. In this case, I’d like to include only currently checked-out documents in this web part, so I
am going to clear Include Documents Last Modified By Me and check I nclude Documents
Checked Out To Me because in most cases, if I am currently modifying a document, then
I have also checked it out of the library to do so. I’m going to keep Display A Link To A
Containing Folder Or List enabled, and I am going to increase the Maximum Number Of
Documents displayed to . For your environment, that maximum number really depends 25
on what your users do with documents versus a reasonable number of documents
displayed on your home page. Figure 5.13 shows the settings I chose.

7. Check to make sure the data settings are complete, and then click OK to leave the tool
pane. This will apply your settings and close the pane (regaining that window real estate
for the page).
As you can see in Figure 5.14, my Relevant Documents web part is now displaying no
documents (even though I’d added a document to the Shared Documents library in the previous
chapter). Why? Well, the account I am logged in with doesn’t have any documents checked out. That
will change in Chapter 8, “Introduction to Libraries,” where we will ill that web part in no time.
