IMPORTING TO A SITE COLLECTION
There are times when you have a web part that you’d like to make available to all sites in a site
collection. (Remember, a site collection is a collection of subsites that start with a top-level site—the
subsites inherit templates, permissions, navigation, and so on, from the top-level site.)
To add a web part to an entire site collection so that it shows up in the web part workspace in every
site, you simply add it to the site collection’s web part gallery.
To access the web part gallery, go to Site Actions, and click Site Settings at the bottom of the
On the Site Settings page, in the Galleries category, click Web Parts.
This will bring you to a library filled with the web parts available for this site collection.
To add a web part, just click the Upload Document button on the Documents ribbon.
