Creating a new
custom list
5. For Navigation, leave the default, and ensure that this list will have a link to it in the
Quick Launch bar.
6. To complete the custom list creation, click Create.
That’s it; you are at your new list’s content page (notice that it comes up with the List ribbon
already active, for your convenience). As you can see in Figure 7.36, there are already two fields
in this list: Attachment and Title. The Attachment field is indicated by the little paper clip icon.
Fields for ID, Created By, and Modified By are also created, but they are not displayed in the
default view.
