In Depth Information
Launch Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, and expand the Web Sites folder. You’ll see
the SharePoint-80 Web Site. Click the Basic Settings action (on the right pane) to see the directory
for the site. Mine is as follows:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80\
Copy your website to this location. Keep it in its own folder (my example uses Sales for the folder).
In this case, you’ll have a Sales folder containing your website files (HTML, images, and so on). This
example has only one file, default.htm.
For IIS to know that the new path is there, you may need to restart it. From the command prompt,
enter the following:
iisreset /noforce
This will restart IIS, and http://spf2/sales/ will lead to the static default.htm file. It will
not go to SharePoint.
