Publish Some service applications can be shared with other SharePoint farms. To share a
service application with another farm (or to consume services from another farm) there has to be an
existing trust relationship. If the service application can be shared, this button will open to a box
that lets you configure the connection type (HTTP or HTTPS), publish to another farm (turns
the sharing feature on), and select the trusted farm (with a link to configure a trust if there isn’t
already one), description, and informational URL if you have a page set up for people to read
about it. In addition, there is a section that displays the service application’s published URL. The
trusting farm that will consume the service will need that URL (Figure 11.28).
