Generate a Table
of Contents
If your document requires a table of contents
(TOC), you can use Word to generate one. By
default, Word generates a TOC by searching for
any text in your document that was formatted in
one of Word’s predefined heading styles. It then
copies this text and pastes it into the TOC. You
can choose from Word’s gallery of TOC styles to
establish its look and feel.
