Set Vertical Alignment
1 Select the cells that you want to
format.

Ribbon.

the Alignment group.

How do I indent cell
data?
You can use the Increase
Indent and Decrease Indent
buttons to add indents to
lines of data in your
worksheet. To indent data,
click the Increase Indent
button ( ) on the Home
tab. To decrease an indent, click the Decrease

Can I change the orientation
of data in a cell?
Yes. For example, you might
angle column labels to make
them easier to distinguish from
one another. To do so, select the
cells you want to change, click
the Home tab on the Ribbon,
click the next to the Orientation button ( ), and
click an orientation. Excel applies the orientation to
the data in the selected cell or cells.
