Changing the text color can go a long way toward
emphasizing it in your publication. For example, if
you are creating an invitation, you might make the
description of the event a different color to stand
out from the other details. Obviously, when
selecting text colors, you should avoid choosing
colors that make your text difficult to read.

1 Select the text that you want to
format.
2 Click the Home tab on the
Ribbon.
3 Click the next to the Font

You can click a color in the palette
that appears to apply to the
selected text.
4 Click More Colors .
The Colors dialog box opens.
5 Click the Custom tab.
6 Click a color in the Colors field.
7 Click a shade to refine your
selection.
8 Click OK.
