Now you can move on to the salutation and the body of the letter. As you type the
body of the letter, notice that Word automatically moves the insertion point to a new line
when it reaches the right margin.
To type the salutation and the body of the letter:
1. Type Dear Jean: and then press the Enter key to start a new paragraph for the
body of the letter.
2. Type the following sentence, including the period: Enclosed you will find the
Author’s Guide we discussed at the meeting.
3. Press the spacebar .
4. Type the following sentence, including the period: I think it will answer all your
concerns.
5. Press the Enter key.
Notice how Word moves the insertion point to a new line when the current line is
full. See Figure 1-4.
