When Amanda Dunn purchased a DVD burner a few years ago,
one of her fi rst tasks was to convert her home videos into DVDs.
After she saw how simple it was, she upgraded her hardware and
software, and proceeded to create DVDs from home movies and
slides for her parents and friends. Based on her success, Amanda
decided to make a business out of her hobby and founded RipCity
Digital, an online service specializing in creating DVDs from
the home movies, photos, and slides sent to her from customers.
Amanda wants to list the weekly orders from her customers,
tracking the names and addresses of her clients, the number of DVDs
that she creates, and fi nally the cost of creating and shipping
the DVDs.
Session 1.2

Amanda is so busy creating DVDs that she asks you to record her
orders. You’ll do this in Microsoft Excel 2010 (or Excel ), a computer
program used to enter, analyze, and present quantitative data. You’ll
also enter the latest orders she received for her new business.
