Taking Notes in
Notes List view
This view displays the notes in a list, as shown in Figure 13-14. Each note takes up two
or more lines in the list: You see the name of the note and a preview of its text. Notes
List view makes it faster to find the note you’re looking for, because you get a sneak
peek at each note’s contents. Another advantage of this view is that you can sort the
list by clicking any column header to sort by subject, date created, or category.
Tip: To add columns to Notes List view, select View➝Add Columns (Alt, W, AC) to open the Show
Columns dialog box. There, select “All Note fields” from the drop-down list. Select a field from the “Available
columns” list and click Add to display it in your list. Click OK when you’re done.
In Notes List view, you can group similar notes by date, category, or date—go to the
View tab’s Group gallery to choose.
When you look at
your notes in Notes
List view, you get
a preview of each
note’s contents. Click
any column header to
sort the notes.
Last 7 Days view
This view is identical to Notes List view, except it displays notes from the past week,
rather than all your notes. Sort and group notes in this view in the same way you
would in Notes List view.
