Some of the formatting options are used rarely. Unless you’re writing a dissertation
about Einstein (E=mc 2 ?), you probably won’t need the superscript formatting, for
example. The strikethrough format is more or less redundant because you can just
delete any mistakes rather than crossing them out, so it’s usually used to jokingly
pretend you wrote something else fi rst then changed your mind. So if you can’t
see a use for a particular formatting option or don’t really understand what it’s for,
it doesn’t matter.
