Create a Custom
Font Scheme
You can gain more control over the look of
your workbook text by creating your own
custom font scheme.
Each Excel theme comes with more than two
dozen built-in font schemes that make it easy
to apply fonts to your worksheets. Each font
scheme defines two fonts: a larger font, called
the heading font, for title and heading text; and
a smaller font, called the body font, for regular
worksheet text. The typeface is often the same
for both types of text, but some schemes use
two different typefaces, such as Cambria for
titles and headings and Calibri for body text.
However, if no font scheme offers the exact
typefaces you want, you can create your own
scheme.
1 Click the Page Layout tab.
2 Click Fonts.
3 Click Create New Theme
Fonts.

4 Use the Heading Font
drop-down list to choose
the typeface you want to
use for titles and
headings.
5 Use the Body Font
drop-down list to choose
the typeface you want to
use for regular text.
