Working with diagrams
SmartArt is a tool that quickly arranges graphics into a layout in your Word document. For
example, you can create diagrams, such as organization charts and process diagrams.

In word0805_done, click under the title Diagrams on page 2, and then click the
Insert tab.

Click SmartArt in the Illustrations group.
Click SmartArt.

Word displays the Choose a SmartArt Graphic dialog box. From the list on the left, select
Hierarchy to display the Hierarchy menu.
Word displays a variety of choices.

Select the second choice from the left in the second row called Hierarchy, and then click
OK. Word displays the SmartArt graphic, and the SmartArt tools appear on the Ribbon.

In the Type your text here box, type the following names in this order and be sure not
to press Enter after each name, just simply press the down arrow or click the next Text
i eld: Amanda Russell , John Mack , Candace Bailey , Jim Stevens , Kim Huff ,
Keith Jones .
You can type directly into the text i elds, if you prefer.
