Working with paragraphs
Within a paragraph
To set line spacing within a paragraph:
In word0401, click anywhere within the i rst paragraph.
On the Home tab in the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing icon (
to display the various spacing options.

Select 1.5 for the paragraph to spread out the lines within it by one and a half spaces.

2 ½ spaces
You can also change the amount of space Word places between paragraphs. This is a much
better option than pressing the Enter key several times between paragraphs. By using the
space before or space after options you can specify the exact amount of space to apply. If at
any point you want to change the space between the paragraphs, you can easily make one
adjustment rather than searching throughout the document to remove or apply extra returns
to adjust spacing.
