Choosing a layout
Setting margins
A margin is the white space that surrounds the text on a page. By default, Word provides one
inch from each edge as a margin. You can adjust the right, left, top, and bottom margin sizes
to suit your document’s needs.
On the Page Layout tab in the Page Setup group, click Margins.
The Margins menu of ers many margin choices.
Select Moderate. Word moves the content to accommodate moderate settings.
If you need to create margins that do not appear on the Margins menu, select Custom Margins.
Word displays the Page Setup dialog box where you can customize the margin settings.
