Designing Table Appearance
Align Text Left: Horizontally aligns the
data along the left edge of the field.
Another way to perform most of the previous
formatting along with a few others is using the Data
Formatting dialog box. Click the Home>Text
Formatting Dialog Box Launcher which displays
the Datasheet Formatting dialog box seen in Figure
19-5. From here you can change the gridline color,
background color, and a number of other effects.
All choices in this dialog box apply to the entire
table. Make your selections and then click OK.
Center: Centers the data horizontally
in the middle of the field. If you change the
field column width, the data remains
centered to the new column width.
Align Text Right: Horizontally aligns
the data along the right edge of the cell.
Click the Save button on the Quick Access Toolbar.
Gridlines: This button controls which,
if any, gridlines appear on the table. You get
a menu of options as seen in Figure 19-4.

Change Default Formatting
If you want all new datasheets to appear
with specific formatting, click the File tab
and choose Options. From the Access
Options dialog box, click Datasheet and
specify the options you want. Click OK
when you are finished.
