Access stores print-setup information with each report, so you can design
reports to be used with specific printers or paper.
Selecting a printer
When you format your report in Print Preview, Access takes into account the
size and shape of the paper you plan to use. (Okay, most paper is
rectangular, but you know what we mean.) Before you’re ready to print, specifying
what printer you plan to use is important.
If you plan to use the Windows default printer, you don’t have to do
anything. If you want to print to a different printer, choose the printer when
you’re ready to print. Click the Print button in the Print group (it’s the only
button in the Print group) on the Print Preview tab of the Ribbon to
display the usual Windows Print dialog box, shown in Figure 2-4. Choose your
printer from the Name drop-down menu.
To see what printers your computer is configured to use, just open the
Name drop-down menu in the Print dialog box. Choose the printer you want,
and print away.
